RDJ refugee shelter, hosted our inaugural cocktail reception on Oct. 9th, 2019 at Columbia University faculty house. Special Guest of Honor Council Member Mark Levine of the 7th District of Manhattan.

Welcome address by our executive director Mr. Edafe Okporo.  Dear Attendees, Sponsors, and Donors,    Welcome to our inaugural cocktail reception, Change the Narrative 2019. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as the director of RDJ Refugee Shelter. RDJ Refugee Shelter is the only organization of its kind in New York City and it is with sincerity and heartfelt gratitude that I welcome you to this unconventional event.    Despite the attack against refugees, asylum seekers and other minority group in our country, we still find it fulfilling to summon the courage and fight back.
